Everyone, stop being so happy about Chapter 331! Isn’t it suspicious? I mean… This is Hiro Mashima we are talking about! We all know that he is a MEGA troll.  Did you forget? He is making us really happy before he breaks our hearts in the next chapters… T.T

WHO IS LAYLA HEARTFILIA?

Am I the only one who is obsessed with revealing the mystery behind Layla Heartfilia? I’ve thought very long and did a little research, and in the end I have one theory.

Result of my little research:

(1) Layla means ‘dark’, ‘night beauty’, ‘born at night’ and ‘night’.

(2) Lucy means ‘light’,  ‘born at dawn’ and ‘born at daylight’.

 Theory:

Layla died in x777 and the dragons disappeared in the same year on July 7. In FTWiki it is said that Layla dies of an unknown illness. But is that true? There’s a possibility that she died on July 7 and her death is connected with the dragons. Oh, and don’t forget that there is a chance that she faked her death and she is still alive. + When she was showed in the anime/manga, she was supposed to be 29 years old but she looked younger. Isn’t that strange?

On July 7, x791 Lucy is going to close the Eclipse gate and the dragons will come back.

 Lucy and Layla are really mysterious. First, they look exactly like each other. (Could they be doppelgangers? If I didn’t know Layla was Lucy’s mother, I would say that she is her twin sister.) Second,  Layla’s actions are followed by the dragons’ disappearance and Lucy’s actions are followed by the dragons’ return. Third, their name meanings are antonyms: Lucy–Light & Layla–Dark. They play a really important part in the whole dragon-human conflict but there is still something that we don’t know.

And something else is really bothering me: NATSU’S AGE!
HIRO SAID COUNTLESS TIMES THAT NATSU’S AGE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE STORY SO HE IS DEFINITELY OLDER THAN HE LOOKS! It’s possible that he knew Layla… No, I don’t think so. But who knows?

Anyway, what do you think about Layla?

The girls from Fairy Tail resemble some of Disney’s princesses:

Lucy/Jasmine - They both run away from home because their father wants to marry them to someone. Both are from rich families. Lucy meets Natsu and Jasmine meets Aladdin, and are both saved from the boys. Natsu&Lucy and Aladdin&Jasmine are chased by guards and in both stories the boy grabs the girl’s hand and starts running really fast, dragging her along with him. In both stories the boy has an pet animal - Natsu has Happy and Aladdin has Abu.

Juvia/Ariel - Both girls are connected with water. They both fall in love with a boy and stalk him. They both have to deal with love rivals.

Lisanna/Snow White -  The girls which everyone thought were dead but in the end it turned out that they were alive.

Levy/Belle- Both love to read books and are ready to do everything for the ones they love. Both are hurt by a beast. Belle is chased by Gaston and Levy is chased by Jet&Droy. Belle escapes from the castle, she is attacked by wolves and the Beast miraculously arrives to her rescue and fends off the wolves. On Tenrou Levy gets mad that Gajeel doesn’t “look at her” and runs away from him, only to be surrounded by two Grimore Heart members but Before they manage to kill her, Gajeel intervenes and saves her. Both fall in love with the beast.

Mirajane/Cinderella - Both work and clean. And both have a different side: Cinderella pretends to be a princess and Mira has Satan Soul.

Mavis/Rapunzel - Both are cheerful, carefree and brave. Both have long blond hair.

Erza/Mulan - Both are badass, use armors and save everyone in the end.

Yukino/Aurora - Both don’t do anything useful and get rescued in the end.

‘Hiro Mashima’ Plot Twist: everyone dies, first master appears and brings everyone back seven years later, Lucy’s father is dead, Alzack and Bisca are married and have a kid, Lucy AND Rogue come from the future, Natsu and Gajeel can’t pass Freed’s runes, Loki is a spirit, Lisanna is alive, there’s a parallel world, Lyon likes Juvia, Simon is Kagura’s brother, Acnologia was a human, there’s a third generation dragon slayers, etc.
